born in Newberry, South Carolina in 1934, first received moderate national attention with a series of soulful albums recorded for Prestige back in the '60s. In 1968 he began a sympathetic and successful musical partnership with the great Etta Jones that lasted over 30 years until her recent passing.."

SPANKY WILSON - "In previous musical lives, Spanky Wilson recorded more than half a dozen albums and performed and recorded with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Marvin Gaye, Jimmy Smith and Sammy Davis Jr. The Philadelphia-born and bred musician moved to Los Angeles then in the early 1980s relocated to France, where she spent more than a decade as a jazz singer before returning to LA in 2000. " 

RYAN CROSS -" In his young professional career, he has already appeared and recorded on several TV shows and movies including “Friends,” ”One on One,” “West Wing,” “ JAG,” “Starsky and Hutch,” “Along Came Polly,” and “The Big Time” with Stanley Clark. JOHN CLAYTON -" John Clayton, senior lecturer, jazz studies, has gained prominence as a bassist, composer and arranger in both the jazz and classical fields. After studying bass under the esteemed Ray Brown, Mr. Clayton was bassist for the television series The Mancini Generation, after which he recorded and toured internationally with jazz pianist Monty Alexander. "
